Pride and privilege for South Africa at the ChelseA Flower Show

Many of you may have seen that the South African exhibit at the Royal Horticultural Society Chelse Flower Show won gold this year. This was inspired by the Cape Mountains and the coastal region running from the Cederberg Mountains to Port Elizabeth, included the region of the Robberg Coastal Corridor.

The floral display encapsulated the uniqueness, fragility and exceptional beauty of the diversity of fynbos which is found in this area – this is the world’s richest floral kingdom. It is also the smallest and most vulnerable.. We believe its performance reflects a spectacular affirmation of our efforts in preserving this unique coastline.  We hope that it continues to build support for our work – and that of our related conservancies across the landscape that contributed to this wonderful work.
